hmmm it's been ages since I've written after my first post. Sorry guys, I was just too busy and completely forget that I even had a blog. Well just an update: I'm currently in the 3rd year...which is perhaps the worst of the years that I've encountered so far (I guess, med school just keeps getting worse and worse every year). But on a positive note, the subjects are a lot more interesting because they're "slightly" more clinically oriented.

I also forgot to mention that I love learning languages and it's been a life-long dream of mine to master in at least 6-7 languages. So far, I can get by with Spanish and German (But I still need to keep revising them and work towards fluency). After having lived in the Czech Republic for 2 1/2 years now, my Czech is quite decent too. In addition, I've also made some attempts to learn Persian (Farsi), Dutch, and French. I hope to work at Dutch and French more seriously as I'm sort of considering working in The Netherlands/Belgium or France/Switzerland after med school. But I still have a long way to go.

I've also discovered my culinary abilities ;) in the past few months (I've cooked a wide range of dishes ranging from roast ham to a confie-du-canard (roast duck in duck fat - sounds a bit gross but tastes delicious). I've also learned a couple of Persian and Czech recipes and so far, they've come out really well. I think I should start contemplating a career as a part-time chef :)

so it's been almost 4 1/2 months now that i've been living in the Czech Republic. Med school is certainly not getting easier and i admire my seniors for having told me that "it doesn't get any easier. in fact, it gets so bad from here that you just have to suck it all up.....and realize the greater purpose"....well quite encouraging don't you think? well i think so, coz the profs. are so brutal with grading that it makes you wonder why they didn't consider police enforcement for a career.....well that's it for now...unfortunately my 1st semester exams are coming up so i'll try my best to update whenever i can.
